Why Surakarta?
Surakarta or known as Solo is one of the key aspects of traditional Javanese culture. Both Keraton Surakarta Hadiningrat and the Pura Mangkunegaraan Surakarta are always have been the symbols of Javanese culture and the centre of the development of Javanese art and culture. These precious Javanese traditions are still well-maintained and sustainable until now.
Culinary is one of the essential parts of the culture creating a distinguished identity for its inhabitants, and Surakarta is also known as one of the centres of Indonesian cuisine. A variety of traditional Javanese food and drink are available, both in restaurants and simple food stalls. Culinary is always one of the reasons why tourists visit Solo and its surrounding areas.

That is why Jelajah Sport will organize the Jelajah Cycling Series (JCS) second series in 2023 in Surakarta on 9th of September 2023.
